Compounding growth visualizer

See how contributions and
time can compound.

Illustrate growth under your own assumptions. Optionally compare a fee-drag path — without storing your numbers.

Methodology

How the illustration works

Contribution timing

Monthly mode compounds twelve times per year with a contribution each period. Annual mode compounds once per year.

Assumed return

You enter the gross annual return. There is no default “market average” presented as advice.

Fee drag

Optional. Subtracts your entered annual fee percentage from the assumed return before compounding.

Excluded factors

Taxes, inflation, sequence risk, withdrawals, changing fees, and product constraints are not modeled.

Visualizer FAQ

How to read the result

Is this a retirement forecast?
No. It is an educational illustration of arithmetic compounding under assumptions you enter. Markets, taxes, withdrawals, and fees can differ.
What does fee drag mean here?
When enabled, fee drag subtracts an annual percentage you enter from the assumed return before compounding. Use the advisor fee calculator to estimate a visible-cost rate from a fee schedule.
Are my numbers stored?
No. Calculations run in your browser. Exact balances and rates are not submitted to Roll My Retirement by this tool.
