Fiduciary FAQ

Common questions

Does “fiduciary” guarantee a good outcome?
No. Fiduciary duty is a legal and professional standard about acting in a client’s best interest under the applicable relationship—not a performance guarantee or proof of fit.
Where can I verify an advisor?
Use Investor.gov / IAPD for investment advisers and FINRA BrokerCheck for broker-dealer representatives. Also read Form ADV and Form CRS carefully.
Should I switch solely because of a title?
Titles alone are not enough. Compare duties, compensation, services, conflicts, communication, and whether the relationship matches your needs.
